Loosing your job after taking care of an unexpected find(a baby at that!) can be blessing in disguise. Turning her find into number one marketer in babyfood business of her own(babyfood from those over produce of apple in the orchard), finding her “new baby” is indeed a boom rather than a detriment. A real feel good movie and the powercast performances of Jessica Tandy, Kathy Bates, Mary Louise Parker, Mary Stewart Mattheson and Chris O’donell is just exactly what you needed to feel rural America at its best(simplicity of lifestyle, endless greens and sleepy neighborhood! It’s like a giant movie where several plots are intertwined. One of the best lines coming from Kathy Bates, “But I have more insurance!” before hitting the trunk of the teen-agers'(who boxed her out in parking) car with her bumper. All of that in response to the teen-age girls’ exclamation, “Face it! We’re faster and smarter!”

I haven’t seen the original version of Bogart,Hepburn and Holden so I will comment on the movie independently with this version of SABRINA by Ford,Ormond and Kinnear. Being torn between rich brothers(Ford and Kinnear) isn’t really that a comfortable role for “blushing” and “prim as another virgin” Ormond for this one. So she has settled to returning home with the plane ticket on Ford’s hand in the end. She has her own trademark in saying “May I(have the plane ticket)?”. It reminds me of Raj Hari(Immigration Officer) in Calgary when it’s my turn to say “May I(have the plane ticket)?”.
